Amsterdam

Last year at the end of may beginnings of april I went to Amsterdam with my science classmates , we had  such a wonderful time  . It was an exchange trip where everyone were living in different houses with their own host families.

I were at Marina´s house , a little beautiful house where I felt really comfortable , they treat me fantastically as one more family member .

We were in the group around 40 people and we enjoyed our time as much as we could . Gloria and Penelope planed some activities for us like the “tirolina park” , I had so much fun even though I was scared of highs  I finally end the tour up without any inconvenience .

We were to a billiards pub I didn’t play a lot but I got fascinated with that place , it was decorated with picture from famous artist , there were cats all over the place which came to you normally to receive caresses. Around 20 billiards tables were aligned each of them illuminated by an old lamp hanged from the roof, it looked really  showy to me.

Thanks to our teacher we could visited “Anna Frank house” I loved it , I read the book before and due to it I felt really closed with that experience . I recommended to follow my steps because is an unique experience .

However we got to know pretty good the city by our own interest , we had to do a game in small groups and find some things to finally get in the first place but my group didn’t follow the instruction at all , we dedicated that time to visit the city by our own way , we went to the red town , very different to the others part of the city but at the same time pretty interesting , we went shopping and we took thousand of pictures.

I really felt in love with Amsterdam , it wasn’t just the city , it was my company , my host family, the cloudy sometimes sunny weather  and the atmosphere which was extremely distinct to the one in Spain ; people are more liberal .

I hope someday I can came back , meet Marina again and had another wonderful time .

Cheating

Have you ever cheated? Cheat  is a really commun action that a lot of people do. Most of them go prepared to the exams but there are some who  need help to pass .

Tons of cheating ways have been made up by us throughout the time and  they have been improving . Now days at  schools are pretty usual tactics  like technologic , using our phone to look for the information that we need , painting our body as our arm , thigh or hands covering it with a big jumper a skirt or even just with the person in front of you. Making little piece of paper with all your notes and hide it the best you can is a very popular way to cheat too.

However cheat has an inconvenience owning to our nervous , if you get unhidden you failed and there is no way back . Teachers normally scared you a lot and you don’t feel confidence at all , it is the biggest mistake you can make because you will be discovered.

I can tell you an example of cheating from my friend anna , she toke her phone in an exam and she used the source of internet to  got connected with one of his friend one year older , and he told her all the answer form it , finally she could pass the exam without any difficulties .

Everyone has cheated ones in their life  even though those who look really innocent because in a extreme situation you forget about the risk and you  center all your attention forward to get the best result.

Classmates or Friends ?

Javier Muñiz 

I started studying at Nestor Almendros last year.I had already met some people in my class such as Anna , Luis, Gonzalo, Buffa etc. Normally, you start to hang out with the people you know but after some time I began to get closer to those who I didn’t  know very well like Jaime Valls and Pablo.One of them was Javier Muñiz .

Javi is just a normal guy who won´t surprise you at  first sight because the greatest part of him is his personality. He is so funny and natural, he is true to himself in every situation. He is very modest but he isn’t naive. He is generous, kind and pleasant. In my opinion he is not very selfconfident. Nevertheless, this is just a little nothing compared to all his powerful personality.

One of the things I like the most is that he isn’t arrogant and he gives everything he has. He doesn’t show off his achievements, he just works for personal satisfaction.

His outside face is just adorable.  He is always smiling even when the worse comes to the worst. It makes me feel absolutely great because  life just goes on and that is always positive .

The most important thing in life is to don’t give up. There are ups and downs in life but I´ve learnt, I  could say from Javi , that we have to work every day to get what we want without others people´s opinions and we should  be concern  that there is not success without failure and we are the first ones you have to think that we can get into that success.

Gloria´s profile

I´ve never had a teacher as good as Gloria she made changes in our personality and our point of views in life .

She was pretty young and she used to have a lot of energy giving classes and you could tell she gave everything she could to make us learn new things.

However was not just a good teacher she organizes trips out of school and she had been into our life during a school year . She was present in one of my ballet dance and she joined us in our dinner´s classes.

Teacher , friend and I could say psychologist , it was amazing how she makes you feel secure and good with yourself .When someone was sad or just if they had any problem she was there to work on it until she could solve it .

Honestly she was sincere  and I could easily  trust her. Was nice to meet her  I hope she find a good job because she deserved the best , her personality is awesome and that is one of the hardest thing to find .

FIRST CHAPTER my earliest memories.

Before come into Nestor Almendro high school I was spending a year in America and before it I was coming from a private school in Mairena , it means that was a huge difference for me .

Schools in America are so much bigger than here and the level is easier too.

One of my fist memories was in my physics class, as I said the level here is harder due to it I got really scared with it , was horrible when my physics teacher was writing on the board , it looked like Chinese.

Another one was in my first english class no bilingual where I felt really smart but I am glad I could change , it was going to be a loose of time for me .

I haven’t been as long as the rest of the people from my class owning to it I can´t tell that much, although I can say my first impression was good enough to keep me here and to keep me saying that is a really good school .
